New Schools, New Classes - Looking Ahead to Next Year
Transition
It is that time of year when all pupils and staff think about moving on. We have already had a visit from one local Key Stage 2 school teacher and are expecting more.
Our pupils will also visit their new schools. Pupils who are staying with us will visit their new classroom and teacher on Wednesday 1st July and will also have a one-to-one consultation with their new teacher to discuss their learning needs.
Year 2 parents will already have had details from your new junior schools – please note that it is your responsibility to get your children to and from their induction days.
We will be taking all Moonbeam Class pupils to Hale School to see a fashion show performed by their Year 3 on Wednesday 17th June.
Children who will be going to William Cobbett school next year are invited to attend a Sports afternoon on Friday 17th July from 12.30-2.30pm. Parents will need to attend the afternoon with their child - further details to follow.
Sunshine Class will also be visiting Hale School on Tuesday 16th June to learn about Victorian Schools and to get a feel for Key Stage 2. They will also visit St Mark’s church on that morning.
Leavers
There are a few special events for our leavers. Some have already been mentioned under “Transition”. There will also be a Leavers’ Assembly at St Mark’s church on Tuesday 14th July at 2.15pm. This is for MOONBEAM CLASS only. Please invite any friends/family who would like to join us for this special assembly. If you would like to walk to church with us, please gather in the school hall at 1.45pm.
On Friday 10th July, we will be having our Leavers’ School Lunch. They will be given the opportunity to vote for the lunch they like best. All leavers will be able to take part in this. Details to follow. They will also be encouraged to write about their best memory of Folly Hill. Mrs Baldwin is organising this competition and the prizes.
The Leavers’ Party will be on Monday 20th July in the afternoon. Pupils in Moonbeam Class should bring their party clothes in a named bag to change into.
