Damp start to Red Nose Day
Mr Hancock received a soaking this morning as children and parents arrived at Folly Hill Infant School

Mr Hancock gets a soaking
Mr Hancock the school caretaker, renowned for wearing outrageous and bizarre outfits at the school entrance for the amusement of pupils, parents and staff, today surpassed all expectations when he was tied to the school railings to raise some cash for Red Nose Day. Wearing black tights, a cape, blue marigolds and sporting a fetching red wig, Mr Hancock was used for target practise by Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils wielding dripping wet sponges. A few parents were also seen to have got off the occasional sly shot, and, goaded by Mrs Nixon, one was seen to have emptied a bucket of water over his head. Names have been noted.
Mrs Nixon was heard to comment, "He does it for pleasure, you know."
This fantastic stunt raised £41.20 for Red Nose Day and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Overall, Folly Hill Infant School raised £132. This year the children may decide where to send the proceeds raised by the school. Click »here« to vote!
