Autumn 2009 - September Newsletter
Dear Everyone,
Welcome back to school everyone! The families I have spoken to seem to have had lots of fun and adventures over the summer and are now well settled back in school and raring to go! An extra special hello to all our new children and their families – let’s hope this is the start of a lovely two or three years ahead.
The school and grounds look lovely - Mr Hancock and Mr Ely have been working hard to have it all looking beautiful and clean for our return. We will be collecting our gold medal award for the winning secret garden very soon.
All the staff and some governors attended Child Protection training last week and are now working on a code of conduct which we will share with all volunteers who work with children in our school. Please remember to read our safeguarding statement on the main notice board.
One parent commented that it is hard to keep up with all the notices around school. We aim to get rid of the free standing board. The board placed at the edge of the drive is for healthy/eco school notices. The one at the top of the drive is for all up to date information. The community board is in the head teacher’s window and more general information in the staff room window. Sunshine Class have their own notice board and Rainbow have their notices in the window. I hope this makes things more clear!?
The newsletter describes the events we have at school during September with important dates for the whole term at the end.
We hope to see you at as many events as possible.
Enjoy the Autumn!
Yours sincerely
C S Green
