Summer Term 2009 - June / July Newsletter
Dear All,
When you read this, the Summer Fair will hopefully be a happy memory!
So much work is already going on to get ready for the BIG DAY! Thank you to everyone who has already worked hard to sell tickets, order prizes, sort donations, make plate gardens, practise Maypole dancing etc – every little really does help!
We have spent quite a lot of Friends’ money this year on theatre trips, new role play house, cameras, outdoor play resources and the sensory garden.
We made a magnificent sum at the Race Night and we are spending that on lots of new non-fiction books and higher level reading books.
The children will all really benefit from these lovely new learning resources.
We would like to spend some of the Summer Fair money on treats for the children. Year 2 will be leaving soon so hopefully we can get them a little souvenir of their time at Folly Hill and provide food for their leavers’ party. We also thought we would like to invite the Bollywood dancer that we saw at the dance festival to come and work with the children during the Autumn Term.
So as you can see, your efforts really do benefit the children and their education - thank you from all the children, staff and governors of Folly Hill School.
Yours sincerely
C S Green
