About the Friends

The Friends are a group of staff and parents (mainly mums, but dads and other carers do get involved too) who organise fundraising and social events for the school. All parents automatically become members when their children start school.
Much of our work is coordinated carefully with the staff at the school.

What do we do

  • Summer Fair
  • Christmas Fair
  • Ceilidh in the Spring term
  • Quiz Night
  • Provide refreshment at school events
  • and much more - check out »What's on«

How involved do I have to get?

That depends on how much you are prepared to give. Involvement can range from donating a prize for a tombola, attending an event, helping to man a stall at the summer fair, right up to joining the committee. If you do come to a meeting you won’t be roped into doing loads of stuff that you don’t want to do! All help is very much appreciated, no matter how big or small.

Coordinators required for Riverford Organics

Dear Friends,

As announced in the October newsletter, Annie from Riverford Organics will be coming to school on Wednesday 21st October at 2.30pm to tell us all about their organic vegetable boxes.

We are hoping that there will be sufficient interest to offer this service through the school and thus contribute to our fund-raising.

We are looking for a volunteer (or two) to assist with taking orders and payment for Riverford and would welcome hearing from anyone willing to do this on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

If you are interested in helping, please come along to the presentation on Wednesday to find out more and pass your details to Mrs Green or anyone on the Friends Committee.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks

Jacqui Holroyd
Secretary to the Friends

Please look out for the Yellow Moon catalogues coming home soon in your child’s book bag - money comes back to the school from every purchase. If you follow this »link« to the Yellow Moon web site, the school also gets a proportion of the proceeds.
