Main flu symptoms
- Sudden onset of fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
Other symptoms can include:
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Tiredness
- Aching muscles
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Loss of appetite

If in doubt, contact your GP or NHS Direct. Do not go into your GP surgery unless you are advised to or are seriously ill, because you might spread the virus. Ask a friend to go for you, or contact your GP by telephone.
